Reducing Priority Pollutants

While anything entering the storm drain system other than clean rain water is considered a pollutant, some pollutants are more prevalent and pose a greater risk to water quality. The four most prevalent pollutants of concern entering our waterways countywide are pathogens, pesticides, sediment, and trash.
