Community Services

Liza Massey, Chief Information Officer, Information Services and Technology

Here are some of the ways in which the IST department provides services to the general community here in Marin County::

Justice

EJUS (Electronic Justice System) is a web based application that provides all county justice partners, including local law enforcement, the ability to view pertinent information related to Sheriff Jail bookings, District Attorney Cases, Superior Court Cases, and Adult Probation Cases.

Property Assessment and Tax, Recorder's Records

Searches are available on the public website for information related to:

  • Property Tax and Assessment Values
  • Assessor Parcel Map Search
  • Grantor/Grantee Index

County Clerk

The Fictitious Business Name (FBN) system allows the public to do online searches and submit applications for new FBNs.

Community Development Agency (CDA)

Currently, the Community Development Agency's Public Service Portal provides access to submit service requests directly to the Building, Planning, and Environmental Health Services departments. In the near future, the Public Service Portal will be updated to include Building and Safety Online permits. Customers will be able to submit permits and pay fees online using the portal.

Graphical Information Systems (GIS) Support

The GIS team shares map data with MarinMap, a non-profit consortium of cities and agencies in Marin County. Several GIS applications are available to the public, and GIS data files in ESRI shape format can be downloaded from MarinMap.
