New Gallery Space

For Immediate Release

San Rafael, CA, July 27, 2015—The Marin County Department of Cultural Services is pleased to present the first in a series of exhibitions for the new Marin Center Exhibit Hall Gallery located in the Marin Center Exhibit Hall and Showcase Theater building. Organized by Marin County Fair Manager Charlie Barboni and watercolor artist and instructor Cara Brown, the inaugural exhibition titled Life in Full Bloom features 100 floral paintings by the 537 Magnolia Watercolor Artists. On view from July 28 to September 22, 2015, the exhibition includes floral watercolor paintings by 25 local artists from throughout the Bay Area.

“The mission of the Marin Center Exhibit Hall Gallery is to present the work of local artists throughout the year and showcase the diversity and creativity of talent in Marin County. Following the success of the Fine Art Exhibit at the Marin County Fair, we’re excited to continue the tradition and hope to reach out to the many artists who participate in our cultural events,” says Barboni.

County of Marin Director of Cultural Services Gabriella C. Calicchio adds, “I’m thrilled we can continue the tradition of presenting visual arts exhibits throughout the year and increase participation, advance collaboration and optimize resources for culture in Marin County. With an abundance of creative talent in our own back yard, we hope Marin Center can become a go-to place for artists of all genres.”
