Most planning information can be gathered by reviewing our website and communicating directly with one of our counter staff. However, it is sometimes necessary for architects and other designers to review plans face-to-face with one of our counter staff. Most often, this is necessary to review plans together to gather information about planning approvals that may be necessary or to review plans prior to submitting an application.
Since in-person meetings are not possible, you can schedule a virtual meeting with one of our counter staff to hold a virtual meeting using web conferencing software. During this meeting, you will need to share plans on-screen and be able to gather information.
Before you submit a planning application, you will need to be granted authorization to submit plans. Call our customer service number to schedule an online meeting with a member of our counter staff to review the plans together. Please carefully review the Submittal Checklist and be sure you have all the basic submittal items completed before scheduling an online appointment.
Once granted authorization, you will submit by mailing the planning application package and a check for the required fee to our office. Counter staff will provide details during the online pre-submittal meeting. Applications submitted without prior authorization will be returned to the sender.
Certain decisions issued for planning applications can subsequently be appealed. You can submit an appeal by mailing a completed Petition for Appeal and the required fee to our office. The mailing must be postmarked on or before the final date for appeal to be accepted.
