The property owner and project applicant, Ken Wilson, is seeking Coastal Permit, Use Permit, Sign Review and Design Review approval to reinstate the December 15, 2005 Deputy Zoning Administrator approval (attached) for renovations to the Grandi Building and use of the building as a hotel, restaurant, various retail services, and three affordable employee housing units. The 2005 approval was never vested and the previous entitlements expired in 2011.
The currently proposed project includes the installation of a new septic system to serve the proposed uses, and the construction of 88 on-site parking spaces. Proposed landscape and hardscape improvements include construction of a plaza area at the back of the building, an outdoor seating area north of the north of the Cheda Building adjacent to State Route One, pedestrian pathways, and various plantings throughout the property.
