The applicant requests Coastal Permit approval for the construction of a new 125,000-gallon water tank, gate valves, and overflow drain vaults that would replace an existing fire damaged tank and an additional existing tank on the 5,500 square-foot lot. The proposed water tank is approximately 907.92 square-feet in size and would reach a maximum height of 25 feet above surrounding grade and would be located approximately 22 feet, 6 inches from the western front property line, 5 feet from the northern side property line, 22 feet, 6 inches from the southern side property line, and 22 feet from the western rear property line. Proposed building materials include earth toned concrete and steel.
Coastal Permit approval is required pursuant to interim Marin County Code Section 22.56.040I because the project entails improvements to a property located in a Coastal zoning district not otherwise exempt from Coastal Permit requirements.
