Project Description

The applicant requests Floating Home Exception approval to replace the floats to an existing floating home in unincorporated Sausalito to provide additional stability. No changes are proposed to the height and floor area of the floating home. The proposed floats would be 6 feet- 2 ΒΌ inches from the neighboring homes to the eastern and western side.

Floating Home Exception approval is required because the floating home would have a separation of 6 feet from the adjacent floating homes where 10 feet would otherwise be required and because the floating home would exceed the 20-foot width limitation presented by Section 22.32.075 of the Marin County Development Code.
