Project Description

The applicant requests Floating Home Exception approval to construct a 109-square-foot addition to the second story of an existing 1,106-square-foot floating home moored in an unincorporated area of Sausalito. The 109 square foot addition would increase the floor area of the upper level from 464 square feet (72% of main level) to 573 square feet (89% of main level). The proposed addition would reach a maximum height of 23 feet, 6 inches feet above the waterline. The proposed addition would not affect the existing clear waterway projection between adjoining floating homes. The existing clear waterway projection of 16 feet, 10 inches from the floating home to the west, and the existing clear waterway projection of 10 feet from the floating home to the east would remain unchanged.
