Project Description

The applicant is requesting Design Review approval to allow for the construction of multiple additions on the sides and rear of an existing residence in San Anselmo. The 622 square feet additions would result in a building area of 4,088 square feet and a floor area of 3,610 square feet. Therefore, the project would result in a floor area ratio of 19 percent of the 18,400 square foot lot. The proposed building would reach a maximum height of 18 feet above surrounding grade and would have the following setbacks from the exterior walls: 22 feet from the northern front property line; 10 feet from the western side property line; and 10 feet from the eastern side property line. Various site improvements would also be entailed in the proposed development, including a rear patio and a front porch that projects 8 feet into the front setback.

Design Review approval is required because the project will result in total floor area that is greater than 3,500 square feet.
