Project Description

The applicant requests Design Review approval to construct a new 6,078 square foot detached accessory structure on a developed lot in San Rafael. The proposed structure is comprised of three parts; entrance building, passage area and storage area. The entrance building and passage area would be approximately 2,378 square feet. The storage area would be 3,700 square feet and would be subterranean. The existing building area is 13,230 square feet and the existing floor area is 12,440 square feet. The proposed development would result in a building area of 19,308 square feet and a floor area of 18,518 square feet. The proposed building would reach a maximum height of 17 feet above surrounding grade and would be more than 100 feet from all property lines.

Design Review approval project is required because the project will result in total floor area that is greater than 3,500 square feet.
