The applicant requests Design Review approval to legalize an existing 280 square foot detached accessory structure to the southern rear, and a 185 square foot accessory structure to the western side of the property on an improved lot in unincorporated San Rafael. The structures reach a maximum height of 11 feet above surrounding grade. The structure to the southern rear has the following setback: 18.36 feet from the side property line, 7.74 feet from the rear property line, 80 feet from the side property line, greater than 100 from the front property line. The structure to the western side of the property has the following setbacks: 24 feet from the rear property line; 9.41 feet from the side property line; 78 feet from the front property line, 73 feet from the side property line.
Design Review approval is required for detached accessory structures over 100 square feet in the R1-B-LV zoning district, per Development Code section 22.30.040(D)(6).
