The applicant is proposing to construct two new walls to prevent hillside erosion on a developed lot in Greenbrae, which consist of the following:
- A retaining wall ranging in height from 9.5 feet to 16 feet for 25 feet located on the northwest side of 40 Corte Dorado just north of the residence on this property.
- A retaining wall ranging in height from 14 feet to 16 feet high located on the west side of both 30 Corte Dorado and 40 Corte Dorado properties. This wall is continuous for 23 feet on 30 Corte Dorado and continues for 37 feet on 40 Corte Dorado and encroaches up to 9 feet into the public right-of-way for 14 feet.
The walls are proposed to be comprised of shotcrete with sculpted concrete surface treatment.
Pursuant to Section 22.54.045, Design Review approval is required for proposed retaining walls which vary from the height requirements because they are greater than 4 feet in height and up to 16 feet in height above grade.
