Project Description

The applicant requests Design Review approval to construct two walls to prevent hillside erosion on a developed lot in Greenbrae, which consist of the following: 1) A retaining wall ranging in height from 9.5 feet to 16 feet for 25 feet located on the northwest side of 40 Corte Dorado just north of the residence on this property; and 2) A retaining wall ranging in height from 14 feet to 16 feet high located on the west side of both 30 Corte Dorado and 40 Corte Dorado properties. This wall is continuous for 23 feet on 30 Corte Dorado and continuous for 37 feet on 40 Corte Dorado and encroaches up to 9 feet into the public right-of-way for 14 feet.

The walls are proposed to be comprised of brown shotcrete with sculpted concrete surface treatment.

Design Review approval is required because the project because the proposed retaining walls are greater than 4 feet in height and up to 16 feet above grade.
