The applicant requests Design Review approval to raise the existing dwelling and appurtenant structures (decking and a detached accessory structure) above the Base Flood Elevation as part of a FEMA grant program. The proposed lowest finished floor would reach a maximum height of 7 feet above surrounding grade, and the overall height of the structure would reach a maximum height of approximately 18.5 feet above surrounding grade. Current setbacks would remain unchanged.
Design Review approval is required because the project is located in a Planned Zoning District pursuant to Section 22.42.020 of the Marin County Development Code.
