On March 12, 2018, the Community Development Agency received a Design Review application proposing to amend the Carter Design Review (DM 15-21) originally approved on May 15, 2015. The proposed amendments consist of the demolition of an existing 1,041 square foot deck and construction of a new 557 square-foot covered deck that includes a new outdoor kitchen and concrete patio. The covered deck is proposed to reach a height of 14 feet and to be located approximately 47 feet from the southeastern front property line, 6 feet, 3 inches from the northwesterly rear property line, more than 100 feet from the northern side property line, and more than 100 feet from the southern side property line.
The Carter Design Review (DM 15-21) approved the construction of a new 924 square-foot pool house accessory structure resulting in a total building area of 3,888 square feet. This application does not propose any modifications to the previously approved building area.
Design Review amendment approval is required because the project is a substantial modification of what was approved in the previous Design Review.
