The applicant requests tree removal permit approval to remove a maximum of 11 protected trees on a vacant lot in Black Point, Novato. Per the site plan, the project would eventually entail grading and preparing the site for a single-family dwelling, a driveway and a septic field. All of the construction work may qualify for a building permit if the project complies with the conventional zoning district standards for A2. As per the arborist report, the oak species proposed for removal include Quercus agrifolia, douglasii and possibly lobata; Coast Live Oak, Blue and Valley Oak. No heritage trees are proposed for removal.
