The applicant requests Sign Review approval to install two wall signs and two window signs, in the Strawberry Village Shopping Center. The wall signs would be located on the fascia beam in front of the entrances of the leased tenant space (north and west elevation). The wall signs would be internally illuminated and would be the Sign Type 1, Panel Shape A design, consistent with the Strawberry Village Tenant Sign Criteria. Each sign would be 11 feet, 8 inches wide by 16 inches tall by 6 inches deep. The sign lettering “STARBUCKS COFFEE”, would be centrally located. The sign lettering would be 7 ¾ inches in height. The sign face panels are sheet aluminum cut to shape with letters routed through face and backed with acrylic. The lettering on the signs would be white in color, with a holly green background.
The window signs would be located in the window adjacent to both the north and west store entrances. They would be internally illuminated, suspended from the ceiling with a diameter of 24 inches. The sign is graphic only, displaying the company “Siren” logo. The sign face panels are holly green acrylic with the siren showing through as white. Each wall sign has a sign area of 16 square feet, and each window sign has an exterior sign area of 3.5 square feet, with a total sign area proposed of 39 square feet.
Sign Review approval is required because the proposed sign area exceeds the 16 square feet of sign area allowed per tenant by the Strawberry Village Sign Program.
