The applicants request Design Review approval to construct a new two-level deck, that would be attached to the existing residence on a developed lot in Mill Valley. The 1,598 square feet of proposed decking would be split equally between the two levels. The proposed deck would reach a maximum height of approximately 17 feet above surrounding grade and the edge of the deck would have the following setbacks: more than 75 feet from the eastern front property line; 13 feet, 9 inches from the southern side property line; 10 feet from the northern side property line; 63 feet, 8 inches from the western rear property line.
Design Review approval is required because the property is located in a planned zoning district as outlined in Marin County Code Section 22.42.020.A.
