What are the water-related assets and needs for the Point Reyes Station? As a member of the Point Reyes Station community, you are invited to participate in an anonymous on-line survey to help answer this question.
Why conduct a survey? This is part of a grant from the State Department of Water Resources to support small communities with their water resource planning and decision-making. The results of this survey, along with community discussions, can be used to request follow-up funding for specific a water/wastewater project.
The survey, which takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, includes questions about what is working and not working for Point Reyes Station water and wastewater. This is a follow-up to our March 25, 2019 community meeting where residents began identifying their questions and concerns. Preliminary survey findings were discussed at a community meeting on June 5th. Final survey results will be discussed at the community meeting on Thursday, October 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at the West Marin School, 11550 Shoreline Highway.
A draft narrative on water-related assets and needs is presented below. This is the first step in creating a community water story and provides background for the survey. Please read the narrative before you complete the survey. Also, send me your comments, stories, and edits to the draft water story. We want to make sure the narrative reflects your community.
The survey is for residents, property owners and businesses in Point Reyes Station. Hard copies in English and Spanish are available at the Point Reyes Library, 11431 Shoreline Highway, Point Reyes Station. The survey can also be taken on-line at the library. Please submit one response per household or business.
Please take this survey by September 24th so we can summarize results before the October 3rd meeting.
