Agenda Item #6: Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a request to adopt a resolution proclaiming March 15 as COVID-19 Response Appreciation Day in Marin County, honoring local community partners who served during the pandemic response on its two-year anniversary. The County activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) on March 4, 2020, to respond to the emerging public health situation. The keys to Marin’s measurable success since then have been meaningful and effective community partnership and radical collaboration. At every phase of the pandemic, community partners were highly engaged and ready to co-create change and transform inequitable conditions.
The Board adopted the resolution.

The Board made the following appointments:

Agenda Item #11: No earlier than 5 p.m., the Board will have a joint session with the Marin County Planning Commission to hear an update about the Housing Element portion of the Countywide Plan, covering community outreach and public feedback on candidate housing sites. The Board plans to review next steps from the March 1 joint session and present a final scenario for feedback on staff on the state-mandated Regional Housing Need Allocation for housing production for the 2022-2030 planning period. Members of the two governing bodies could direct County staff to narrow down the list by eliminating some eligible locations. Staff is requesting Board direction on site alternatives.
The Board and Planning Commission conducted the joint session and heard the update, giving direction to staff.
