2. Muir Woods Road Parking Restrictions

Preview

Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a request from the Department of Public Works to receive an update on the Muir Woods Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Park Service regarding parking restrictions. An MOU was adopted by the Board in 2015, and a parking reservation system was launched in 2018. The agreement's milestones have been met by all parties over the first two years. Reservations are required on all personal vehicles, shuttles and commercial tours for Muir Woods National Monument. The restrictions have significantly reduced roadside parking and improved safety in the area. The County and the National Park Service are committed to meet future milestones and report publicly to all stakeholders.

Review

The Board received the update and accepted the report.
