Use of Videoconferencing at Public Meetings

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 9/28/2021

Agenda Item #7: The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator to adopt a resolution allowing the continued use of tele/video-conference meetings during the COVID-19 State of Emergency for County public meetings. After a year and a half of all-electronic public meetings, the Board has set its sights on allowing in-person meetings at some point, as soon as it is considered safe by public health officials. A new state bill, AB 361, extends the flexibilities provided in a previous executive order that temporarily suspended some elements of the state’s open meeting law known as the Ralph M. Brown Act.

The Board adopted the resolution.
