Agenda Item #2: Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a report from the County Administrator and possibly other County staff about the local COVID-19 response. The County proclaimed a local emergency and a public health emergency in early March 2020, and since then staff has worked in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate public response efforts. Marin County recently experienced a surge in cases driven by Delta variant, which is much more infectious than earlier mutations of COVID-19.
The Board heard the report from Public Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis.
