Agenda item #8: The Board will hear a report from the County Administrator regarding budget planning for fiscal year 2022-24. When the Board adopted a $683 million budget in June, it requested quarterly updates as the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded and there was more clarification about potential state or federal emergency funds. The gradual reopening of the economy over the past year has reshaped the County’s budget outlook after a year of uncertainty and concerns. Still, structural operating shortfalls are projected in 2023 because of Marin’s history of slow revenue growth.
The Board heard the report about budget planning.
