Agenda Item #9: The Board will hear a request from the Community Development Agency (CDA) to approve a consultant agreement with MIG in an amount of $1,627,784 for the next housing and safety element updates. The Board approved a CDA work plan for the next Housing Element Update in October 2020. The update is to be submitted to the State of California by December 31, 2021. The Housing Element Update will plan for future housing needs in unincorporated Marin for 2022-2030. The consultant agreement would provide expertise needed to draft housing and safety elements that would include strategies for maximizing public outreach while ensuring a timely submission to the state.
The Board approved the consultant agreement.
