Agenda Item #2: Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., the Board will hear a report from the County Administrator and possibly other County staff about the local COVID-19 response. The County proclaimed a local emergency and a public health emergency in early March 2020, and since then staff has worked in an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to coordinate public response efforts. A local shelter-in-place order was first issued March 16, 2020, to help limit the spread of COVID-19. Marin is in the orange Tier 3 ("moderate risk" of the virus) on the State of California's Blueprint for a Safer Economy and opened vaccine eligibility to all residents age 12 & older on May 13.
Review
The Board heard the report from Public Health Officer Dr. Matt Willis.
