Meeting Date: 12/7/2021
Preview
NOTE: This will be a remote-only session and will not take place in the Board of Supervisors chamber.
Agenda Item #11: No earlier than 6 p.m., the Board will consider final draft plans regarding the redrawing of supervisorial districts and communities of interest in connection with the redistricting of supervisorial boundaries, and adopt an ordinance setting actual boundaries. The boundaries between Marin's five supervisorial districts are being reviewed to assure relatively equal population distribution according to new 2020 U.S. Census data as well as compliance with the Voting Rights Act and state requirements. This is the final in a series of hearings, and the County has actively sought public input on revised maps. A final map must be adopted by December 15 to ensure the new boundaries are reflected in the June 2022 primary elections.
Review
The Board considered the plans and approved the NDC Canal Map A pending technical changes. The Board plans to consider adopting the ordinance at its December 14 meeting.
