Mill Valley Refuse Service Rate Increase

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 10/6/2020

No earlier than 10:30 a.m., the Board will conduct a hearing to consider a request from Mill Valley Refuse Service. Inc. (MVRS) for a 12.52% rate increase. Earlier this year, MVRS postponed a planned rate increase application to allow time to evaluate the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus. MVRS has more accurately forecasted projected revenues and service levels, and submitted the rate application. The most common 32-gallon garbage service level, which includes trash, compost, and recycling, would increase $6.17 per month if the rate increase is approved and takes retroactively takes effect October 1.

The Board conducted the hearing and adopted the resolution on the rate increase.
