The Board will receive a presentation from the Marin County Youth Commission about its accomplishments during 2019-20. The commission was created to demonstrate the value of youth through responsible, positive youth action; to empower youth with skills, information, and organizational support so that participants can significantly impact the political, educational, recreational, and social service systems in their community. The commission provides the Board of Supervisors with the views of youths on County matters affecting young people. It advocates for County policies that promote and utilize youths as planners and decision makers.
