Limit on Food Delivery Commissions

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 6/16/2020

The Board will hear a request from the County Counsel's Office to adopt resolution and order establishing a temporary limit of 15% on commissions charged by third-party food delivery companies during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The limit only affect restaurants operating in the unincorporated parts of Marin. The limit would be no more than 15% of the total cost of online orders. It would be in place until the public health order has been lifted on indoor dining and the Board acts to rescind the resolution.

The Board adopted the resolution.
