Grant for Marin City Health and Wellness Center

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 9/10/2019

The Board will hear a request from the Community Development Agency to accept a $500,000 grant from the Marin County Affordable Housing Trust Fund to the Marin City Health and Wellness Center for an affordable housing development at 100 Phillips Drive. The center is working to create a new facility that will include 24 units of housing for very-low-income and extremely-low-income residents. The Housing Trust Fund was created to increase the stock of affordable housing in one of the nation’s most expensive counties in which to live. Money can be used anywhere in the county, but unincorporated areas such as Marin City are a priority.

The Board approved the grant.
