The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator for Board concurrence and adoption of a response to 2018-19 Grand Jury Report titled, "Marin's Telecommunications Disconnect” (June 6, 2019). County staff agreed with one finding but wholly or partially disagreed with six findings and said four more findings were will not be implemented because they are not warranted or reasonable. Staff recommends that the Board concur in and thereby adopt response and direct the Board President to submit the response to the presiding judge.

The Board concurred and adopted the response.

The Board will hear a request from the Community Development Agency to accept a $500,000 grant from the Marin County Affordable Housing Trust Fund to the Marin City Health and Wellness Center for an affordable housing development at 100 Phillips Drive. The center is working to create a new facility that will include 24 units of housing for very-low-income and extremely-low-income residents. The Housing Trust Fund was created to increase the stock of affordable housing in one of the nation’s most expensive counties in which to live. Money can be used anywhere in the county, but unincorporated areas such as Marin City are a priority.
