The Board will hear a request from the Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services to adopt a resolution approving the Electrical System De-Energization Response Plan Annex to the Marin County Emergency Operations Plan. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has stated that it plans to de-energize electrical power systems serving large areas in advance or during periods of heightened wildfire danger conditions. The plan annex outlines procedures that guide a collaborative response by local governments, special districts, and allied agencies to the threat of de-energization. The County is also working on a parallel effort to develop a Continuity of Operations Plan that focuses on how County departments will continue minimum essential functions in the event of a disaster or anything that disrupts normal operations.
The Board adopted the resolution.
