The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator to approve Community Service Allocations for Cycle 2. On May 7, the Board conducted an informational workshop to review applications and consider Board feedback on funding recommendations. The program provides one-time funding allocations between $1,000 and $10,000 to nonprofit service providers or other governmental entities to fund specific projects or programs that provide a measurable benefit to Marin residents. Funding is not intended to provide ongoing financial support for the project or program. Cycle 2 was open from January 1 through March 31, and 80 requests worth a combined total of $533,803 were received. The available budget for Cycle 2 is $164,292.
