The Board will conduct a Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) hearing about a request for up to $10 million of tax-exempt conduit obligations for the benefit of Waste Management, Inc., to finance improvements to existing, permitted solid waste landfill facilities at Redwood Landfill within Marin County. Federal law requires a public hearing before the Board to any bond issuance by the California Enterprise Development Authority for projects under the County's jurisdiction. Staff recommends that the Board conduct the hearing and consider adopting a resolution approving the issuance of bonds.
