Preview
The Board will hear an update from the Department of Public Works on current operations and workplan for future years for the County airport at Gnoss Field in Novato. Although the Board has taken actions related to the airport since 1966, it is a self-sustaining operation outside of the General Fund that relies on funding from rents, leases, concessions, grants, and entitlements. The update will include budget highlights, details about the runway reconstruction project and runway extension, a self-serve fueling station, public and tenant outreach, tenant leases and rents, and news about the Aviation Commission.
Review
Update received. The Board authorized the Federal Aviation Administration 2019 Airport Capital Improvement Program Grant.

The Board will conduct a public hearing regarding a proposed ordinance establishing speed limits on portions of Sir Francis Drake Boulevard in San Geronimo. Residents have expressed concerns about speeding on Drake in the vicinity of Nicasio Valley Road/San Geronimo Valley Drive West. There is a 55 mph speed limit on Drake in that area and it drops to 35 mph further west near Forest Knolls. Public Works staff conducted speed surveys and recommends creating a 45 mph zone near the intersection near intersection of concern. The San Geronimo Valley Planning Group supports the change. The first reading of the ordinance was held June 11.
Review
The Board conduced the public hearing and adopted the ordinance, which shall go into effect August 15, 2019.
