The Board will hear a request to adopt a resolution commending the Marin Women’s Commission on the occasion of its 45th anniversary. The commission was created by the Board of Supervisors in April 1974 to ensure women equal economic, social, political and educational opportunities throughout the county. The commission studies problems, consults with the Board, prepares information, advises and counsels residents and government officials concerning matters related to discrimination against women and the violation of women's rights.
The Board adopted the resolution.
