Ratification of Declaration of Emergency

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 2/19/2019

In a special session, the Board convened to consider adoption of a resolution proclaiming a local emergency regarding damage sustained during winter storms. The County is among several agencies assessing storm-related damage that took place February 14 in the baylands of eastern Novato, directly south of Highway 37. County engineers and personnel from several other agencies are analyzing embankments and levees with a goal of mitigating stormwater effects on the nearby properties and roadways, including Highway 37, which remained closed as if February 19. The emergency declaration covers storm impacts for the entire geographic county and could affect the City of Sausalito and its recent mudslide.

The Board ratified the declaration.
