Update on Drawdown: Marin

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 12/17/2019

Shortly after convening at 9 a.m., Board will receive a presentation from the Community Development Agency on Year 1 of Drawdown: Marin, and its Year 2 plan. Drawdown: Marin, which debuted in October 2017, is the County’s coordinated initiative to reduce and reverse climate change at the grassroots level. It is collaborative movement that helps inspire all cities and towns, organizations, and individuals to work together to reduce greenhouse gas emissions released locally. Recently, the program was awarded a $126,451 grant from the Marin Community Foundation to implement a process designed by Marin community-based organizations to more deeply engage people of color in the initiative, elevating existing community priorities.

The Board received the presentation.
