The Board will hear a request from the Information Services and Technology Department to receive a status report regarding the Administrative Technologies of Marin ("ATOM") project implementation. In 2015, the Board approved more than $14 million for a new software system to support the County’s administrative functions of business operations, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, payroll and human resources management. The first phase of project implementation was completed in June 2016 with a new Finance system. The next phase is the Human Resources and Payroll phase. It will go live when the system meets functional requirements and the organization is ready for the transition. When ATOM fully implemented, the County expects to enhance its business processes and save money in the long run.
