The Board will hear a presentation from the Department of Public Works (DPW) on the 2018 Marin County Travel Safety Plan that provides a countywide systemic safety analysis of collision on local (non-state) arterial and collector roadways. DPW worked with Parisi Transportation Consulting and partnered with all Marin towns and cities in conducting the analysis. The project, which began in 2016, also involved collaboration with various town and city police departments, the Marin County Sheriff and the California Highway Patrol. The systemic safety analysis of roadways will help drive future improvement projects, grant applications and traffic safety outreach programs for unincorporated areas of Marin and its 11 cities and towns.
The Board heard the presentation and approved the plan.
