New Funding for Storm Damage Repairs

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 4/24/2018

The Board will hear a request from the Department of Public Works to allocate an additional $2.5 million within the Road and Bridge Capital Fund to complete 2017 storm damage repairs. The County experienced severe rain storms in January and February 2017. Public Works created a storm damage project in March 2017 and allocated $3.275 million for significant repair work on roads and bridges in unincorporated parts of Marin. That funding has been spent and Public Works estimates an additional $2.5 million is needed to finish the work. Funding is being pursued from federal and state agencies, although any assistance would not be realized until an undetermined future date.

The Board approved the Road and Bridge Capital Fund changes to complete the storm repairs.
