Issuance of Tax-Exempt Conduit Obligations

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 5/23/2017

No earlier than 10:30 a.m., the Board will conduct a Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA) hearing about a request for issuance of up to $15 million of tax-exempt conduit obligations to finance the acquisition, rehabilitation, improvement and equipping of a 27-unit multifamily rental housing facility at 191 Piper Court, Fairfax. EAH Inc., a nonprofit that advocates and helps secure affordable housing, has requested the funds from the California Municipal Finance Authority to support its purchase of the Piper Court Apartments. Staff recommends that the Board conduct the hearing and consider adopting a resolution approving the issuance of bonds.

The Board adopted the resolution.
