The Board will hear a request to adopt a resolution upholding due process and protecting civil rights of immigrant residents in Marin County. Executive orders signed by the new federal administration have created a climate of fear and uncertainty among immigrant communities nationwide. The proposed resolution would further affirm the Board's belief that fostering a relationship of trust, respect and open communication between County employees and County residents, regardless of immigration status, is essential to the County's core mission of ensuring the heath, well-being and public safety for our entire community.
Review
The Board adopted the resolution.
