The Board will hear a request from the Agricultural Commissioner/Director of Weights and Measures to receive a report on the value and effectiveness of the County’s Vineyard Erosion and Sediment Control (VESCO) Program. The VESCO ordinance was approved in 2011 and and safeguards the public health, safety and welfare of Marin residents by minimizing erosion and sedimentation in connection with vineyards. Since the ordinance's adoption, the County has only received one application to develop a new vineyard of five acres. It was approved and completed in 2016.
