Tentative Bargaining Agreement with Nurses Union

Board of Supervisors

Meeting Date: 7/25/2017

Preview

The Board will hear a request from Human Resources to approve a tentative agreement with the Service Employees’ International Union (SEIU) 1021 Nurses, for a successor 2-year Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The tentative agreement would result in incremental costs increases of $261,672 this fiscal year and $241,403 in 2018-19. The two-year agreement reflects many of the County's long-term priorities, which includes elimination of the County's contribution toward the employee's share of pension costs, providing market-based equity adjustments to salaries, and updating health benefits.
