State Propositions on November Ballot

The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator's Office to consider adopting positions and providing direction regarding 17 propositions on the November 8, 2016 Statewide Ballot. Staff has framed the 17 propositions into three broad categories for consideration: staff-recommended position (based on past Board policy or consistent with the County Legislative Plan); consider policy position (consideration warranted and direction requested); and no policy position recommended (not directly related to County government). On September 20, the Board indicated taking positions on 13 of the measures and taking no position on four measures.


The Board took the following positions on the state propositions:

Proposition 57: Support

Proposition 59: Support

Proposition 61: Support

Proposition 62: Support

Proposition 63: Support

Proposition 65: Oppose

Proposition 66: Oppose
