Appropriations to Major Capital Projects

The Board will hear a request from the County Administrator to appropriate General Fund and 2015 Certificates of Participation (COP) proceeds for Major Capital Projects for the 2016-17 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The Board approved the 2016-17 CIP on June 22, 2016, which included recommendations on how the 2015 COPs proceeds and General Fund reserves for fire station improvements, together totaling $31.5 million, might be allocated to capital projects. Staff recommendations are $21 million for the Civic Center Roof Replacement, $6.5 million for fire station renovations and replacements, $3 million for the West Marin Service Center renovation, and $1 million for Marin Center improvements.


The Board appropriated the proceeds as recommended.
