No earlier than 10 a.m., the Board will hear a request to adopt a resolution proclaiming October 2015 as Bullying Prevention Month. Approximately 30 percent of U.S. students are involved in bullying every year, either as a victim or a bully. Board supports efforts to call attention to the issue of bullying and encourages schools, parents, youth, governmental agencies, and the private sector to support efforts to reduce and prevent bullying in our communities.
The Board adopted the resolution.
