Review
Supervisor Kate Sears read the following:
RJ has been simply spectacular since he began working in DPW. His strong work ethic and intelligent approach to projects have been instrumental in the successful delivery of complex work programs.
This past year RJ exceeded all expectations in delivering a monumental road resurfacing program. Easily the most ambitious and progressive in County history, it tripled prior year efforts. The amount of organization, planning, office and field work, and community coordination was more than daunting. RJ dove into his challenging workload with gusto and made it work! He supervised, coordinated, and inspired staff to make the program a tremendous success. His performance has been nothing short of outstanding.
With his calm demeanor, “can-do” attitude, and exemplary skills, it’s clear that RJ is truly deserving of the title Employee of the Month. Congratulations, RJ!

The Board will hear a appeal of the Planning Commission’s approval of the Werner Coastal Permit, Variance and Design Review. On Oct. 14, 2013, the Planning Commission approved (4-3) the Werner Coastal Permit, Variance, and Design Review to demolish the existing 1,340-square foot residence and construct a new 3,575-square foot residence in the Seadrift Subdivision. On behalf of the Planning Commission, staff recommends the Board deny the appeal and sustain the Planning Commission’s action by adopting a resolution to approve the project.
