The Board will present the "Employee of the Month" Award for January 2014 to Hannah Lee of the Department of Public Works.
The Board saluted Hannah Lee for her award and thanked her for her community service. "Hannah is simply a star. Since joining DPW’s Flood Control Division in 2008, her energy, intellect and work ethic have contributed greatly to the success of the program. An Associate Civil Engineer, her work has ranged from major construction projects to managing work programs for flood prone areas of the county. Obtaining her professional engineering license in 2012, she’s only getting better. In addition to her flood control work; Hannah is president of the Sonoma County Chapter of Engineers Without Borders and recently went to the Peruvian Amazon to help two villages build a rainwater harvesting system. She is also a vital part of the County’s Wellness Program and is an enthusiastic Wellness Ambassador to her colleagues. Her passions include healthy foods, physical activities, and promoting heart-healthy living. Hannah sets the bar high as an exemplary employee and involved community member and is has more than earned this recognition as Employee of the Month."
